miHoYo has announced that the next major update—Version 2.0—for Genshin Impact will arrive on July 21. This marks the progress into Genshin Impact 2.0 for the developer.
The update will give players access to another region in the game’s ever-expanding map. This will mark the third of the game’s planned seven major cities in a region called Inazuma. Like other regions added in previous patches, there’s another elemental theme. Here, enemies will carry the Electro element more often, and even the weather patterns reflect that tone.
The developer has been pushing these updates pretty aggressively, adding new regions every so often. Each region has brought an expansion to both the roster of characters and the items that can be made. JRPG fans that love crafting and their waifus tend to get tons of worth out of these updates. And this update carries the same idea forward.
Entitled “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” the update will also add three new playable characters, including Kamisato Ayaka. The five-star fighter is a talented sword user who works as a great tank. There are also two other users in the five-star Pyro archer Yoimiya, as well as the four-star ninja Sayu, So you get a good mix of ability styles with Genshin Impact 2.0.
Aside from gameplay additions, something new and exciting is coming. A fully native cross-save system is finally coming. Players will be able to share and move save files across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and mobile versions of the game. PS5 versions will also get patched with full support for Haptic Feedback. This will allow more feedback from the incredible DualSense system of the Sony console.
