Demon’s Souls PS5 launch trailer gives us the goods

Demon’s Souls is storming onto the PS5 this week as a launch title for the console. The port is being handled by Bluepoint Games, and brings the 2010 classic into new light. PlayStation has released the launch trailer for Bluepoint Games’ PlayStation 5 remaster, showing off the world of Boletaria reborn.

This remaster is more than just a fresh coat of paint. The game features a revamped lighting engine that really sows the despair of the setting deep into the minds of players. The action-RPG combat you all know from the old version is just as crisp as ever, and thanks to it running at higher frame rates, there’s some nice movement in there too.

Demon’s Souls on PS5 has been totally rebuilt from the ground up, and it would be a shame to miss it. Many early reviews have credited it as the optimal way to play the game, as this is an optimal PS5 experience. Some reviewers point out that the difficulty and brutality of the combat are all still there, so long-time fans have plenty to enjoy.

Check out the Demon’s Souls PS5 launch trailer below. Demon’s Souls launches today in US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. Those gamers in the UK and Europe will have to wait until the 19th of this month. The game and the new PS5 drop in that region on that date.
