Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 received a bunch of new content as part of its regular updates. The Contraband tier system got a ton of new updates, one of which being the new Roadtrip Reactive Camo for the Hades. Treyarch is really doing a great job with these events, I must say.
There were plenty of other new items, including new outfits, calling cards, as well as new tags and gestures.
The camo pattern is only available at Tier 20 of the Barbarian stream. The cool thing about this pattern is that it’s reactive. This translates to the camo changing colors and schemes according to the number of kills the player using it gets. The flowing psychedelic nature of the camouflage changes from swirling between blues and purples, it’s almost Lovecraftian in its color scheme, which I really like. You can see the camo in action in the preview trailer down below.
Black Ops 4 fans also got access to the new 1.12 update as part of the post-launch content stream. This primarily focuses on expanding the rewards for the month-long Barbarians Special Event. The event will run until March 1st, and features 25 insane tiers of loot to unlock. There’s a ton of new skins and other cosmetic items to grind for, so get moving.
One catch though is that the Barbarians event is locked to higher-level players. You need to gain at least one level to unlock the event chain. So if you’re Tier 30, the event will unlock when you make the jump to Tier 31.
But the Barbarians event isn’t the only game in town, the Operation Absolute Zero event also began last month. That event also added new loot for various tiers in multiplayer. There are rewards such as the Daemon 3XB SMG, SWAT RFT assault rifle, and Secret Santa melee weapon – along with new Weapon Camos, Reactive Camos, and Reticles to unlock with this event as well.
Check out the Treyarch blog for more details on this and other in-game events.
