Will Goku appear in Super Smash Bros. for Switch?

Will Goku appear in Super Smash Bros. for Switch? That’s a good question, one Funimation wants an answer to. Ever since Nintendo confirmed a Super Smash Bros. release for the Nintendo Switch, to extremely excited fans, there has been a lot of hype and speculation about what the roster will look like for the Switch iteration of the popular fighting franchise.

Currently, the confirmed fighters in the game include: Inklings (Splatoon), Mario (Super Mario), and Link (The Legend of Zelda).

Fans have made tons of demands for different characters to have a debut in Smash.

One such ongoing demand is to have Goku of Dragon Ball fame to be included as a third-party combatant in the party-fighting game, an addition fans have been anticipating for over a decade.

Funimation, the western license holder for Dragon Ball, asked via Twitter:

While details for Super Smash Bros. on Switch are scant, we know the game is set for a release sometime this year (probably this holiday).
