RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition revealed

RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition

NVIDIA and CD Projekt teased a new collaboration earlier this month, with a new GPU that the former was working on. Now, fans finally get a look at a custom 2080 Ti that NVIDIA has produced. It looks particularly gaudy and is frankly perfect for the grime hidden beneath the glam feel that Cyberpunk 2077 and the rest of its associated genre go for. Say hello to the surprising yellow RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition

The RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition is a fully customized NVIDIA GPU, based on the current top-end of their graphics card offerings. This is an extremely limited run, so expect the price to be astronomically high. Only 77 of the new GPUs will be made and sent out, there’s a catch though. These custom versions of the $1,200 GPUs aren’t being sold to the public. It’s likely that NVIDIA will use them

The collab was previously teased by NVIDIA a while ago, and now we get to see what these GPUs actually are. The specs of the RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition have not been revealed yet, but we can expect them to be pretty similar to a standard RTX 2080 Ti. Some outlets are suggesting that it’s just a rebadged GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition.

The company is giving away two of these monsters, to promote engagement on their social media, so it’s pretty easy to enter for a chance to win. We also included the full trailer for the card down below.

According to the terms and conditions, only legal (and 18+ years old) residents of the following countries are eligible for this GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition sweepstake.

AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, CANADA (EXCLUDING THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC), COLOMBIA, CROATIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, IRELAND, JAPAN, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, PERU, POLAND, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN, THE NETHERLANDS, UNITED KINGDOM, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO AND ITS OTHER TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS)

The game itself is still months away though. “Right now, we are in “crunch mode,” however it’s not as bad as before,” said one developer on the project. This comes after delays were announced that caused many to criticize CD Projekt Red. The company had previously pledged not to allow crunch and other kinds of exploitation to influence Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 17, 2020.
