Deep Silver and 4A Games tease Metro Exodus story with “Artyom’s Nightmare”

Metro Exodus “Artyom’s Nightmare” Trailer

Despite all of the recent controversy surrounding Metro Exodus, what with the whole exclusivity deal with Epic Games, which itself triggered massive review bombs on Steam, 4A Games and Deep Silver continue to dry and drum up positive hype for their upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure. The latest bout of news about Metro Exodus isn’t really news, but rather an excellent CGI trailer that was produced as a collaboration between 4A Games and Platige Image.

You might know the name Platige Image from other games too. The company has delivered trailers for PUBG, as well as a Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia cinematic trailer and even the Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer. They’re pretty good at what they do, a reputation reinforced by this excellent little trailer, titled “Artyom’s Nightmare”.

The trailer shows the audience a first-hand look at the consequences of the nuclear fire that bathed the Earth in the Metro timeline, causing everything from blankets of deadly radiation to mutated humans and wildlife. Artyom and his band of Rangers will encounter all of this and more as they venture out of the Moscow metro for the first time in years aboard their home, the Aurora. This terrifying new world includes a ton of new elements which are unique to Metro Exodus. For example there’s extensive weapon customization as seen in other gameplay trailers detailing the massive arsenal in the game.

The aforementioned Aurora is the same Aurora that’s featured as the crate for the Limited Edition of the game, the one that also has a ton of other goodies. And while you’re at it, you can photos of the blasted wastes and mutants while you trek across Russia with the new photo mode.

Dmitry Glukhovsky, the author of the original Metro novels voiced his approval for the way in which the source material is being used saying the following:

“Observing 4A Games removing my characters from their pages and creating them on screen has been a privilege. I hope fans will enjoy this new look at Artyom’s world. “

Check out the new CGI trailer for Metro Exodus down below. Metro Exodus will release on February 15 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

There’s plenty of other coverage for the game out there too. Deep Silver and 4A Games have released the full PC requirements for Metro Exodus. The developers also released a documentary series promoting the game. There’s also a new “Uncovered” trailer which recaps all of the new content coming in this game.
