Jump Force, the new anime/manga crossover fighting title from Bandai Namco is getting more characters on its roster. This time, we get a peak of some characters from the Bleach franchise. According to Bandai Namco, all three Soul Reapers (or ex-Soul Reapers) will be entirely playable in Jump Force.
These are the three characters in question:
Ichigo Kurosaki – Once a simple high school student with the ability to see ghosts, Ichigo became one of the strongest ever Shinigami (soul reapers) after his encounter with a Hollow (a spectral being) that tried to kill him.
Rukia Kuchiki – Rukia is a soul reaper from a noble family who specialises in Kido (the magic of the soul reapers). Her ice-based attacks are as deadly as they are beautiful.
Sōsuke Aizen – A captain of the Gotei 13, Aizen is a mysterious man. Seemingly calm until the mess hits that fan, then this secretive warrior unleashes his fury as one of the most skilled fighters in the series.
And Bleach isn’t the only popular anime to be confirmed thus far, Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Death Note characters will all join the fray as well. Plenty of fans of other anime properties are requesting their favorite characters, but we’ll just have to wait and see what the final roster shakes out as.
As was previously confirmed, not all characters will be playable in Jump Force, as some of them will only function in a support role to the players. It will be interesting to see what impact this has on both overall gameplay and character selection.
