Warhammer Card Battler ‘The Horus Heresy: Legions’ Hitting iOS and Android July 26th

Horus Heresy Leions Release Date

The Horus Heresy is a pivotal point in the backstory and lore in Warhammer 40K, and its a constant reference point for many works of fiction, including games, that use the series as a backdrop. The latest effort on this front is a card game developed by Everguild in partnership with Games Workshop. The CCG takes players back to the beginning of the rift between the Emperor and his less-favored sons, in the 31st century of the 40K lore.

Players choose a legion to lead by selecting a specific warlord, which includes characters tabletop players will recognize like Loken, Khârn, Fulgrim and many more. You’ll then have to build your deck around a central theme as you fight your way through endless legions of enemies. Multiplayer and singleplayer modes will be available on launch this month.

There’s a lot of emphasis from Everguild that the choices players make could shape the path of Horus Heresy: Legions as a whole. So whether you want to fight to end the tyranny of the Imperium, or you want to crush the traitor Legions and the forces of Chaos, you’ll have your work cut out for you.

“This collectible card game game features a single-player campaign to immerse players in the tragic events at Isstvan III where The Horus Heresy began. Players can then fight their way to the top through PvP ranked seasons, or join a warrior lodge with other players and take part together in epic Events where the winning Faction secures permanent, game-changing effects. With its rich background and legendary cast of characters, amazing art, and fast duels optimized for mobile, The Horus Heresy: Legions is bound to set the Galaxy in flames!”
