You need to pick the right players to be in a position to grab the ball. That outfielder better be incredibly talented. You need to pay special attention to your fielder’s fielding attributes, as they will determine the ability of that player to rob a Home Run in MLB The Show 22. But the best player in the world might need a little help. There are a few control and UI options you can set to help yourself out here.

The game has various assists you can use to help direct your player. To confirm these, go to your Fielding Preferences and set the Catch Position Indicator to Drifting Ball or Track Ball. Also, enable the Off the Wall Ribbon.

Setting these options will allow you to get your UI to help you direct your movements. The UI will show a ball direction indicator as well as a marker on the field for where to run to. Get your player to that position to get a chance at robbing the run. You will have to time it right, getting to the spot indicated before the ball is too far over the wall. When you get your fielder into position, press RB on Xbox, ZR on Nintendo, and R1 on PlayStation.
