Along with the Evolution items, such as the Thunder Stone, and healing items, these held items are a huge boon to Trainers. Keep reading to find out where to get the Shell Bell and how to use it.
How to find the Shell Bell in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The most reliable method to get multiple of the Shell Bell is to buy it. You will find the item listed for sale at Delibird Presents in Levincia in the Battle Items section. At 20,000 Pokédollars, it’s a very expensive item to grab, and plus, you need to get a few badges for it to unlock. And by the time you unlock the item for sale, it will not be too expansive as you should have plenty of cash on hand.
There’s one more method to get a Shell Bell in Scarlet and Violet. Instead of paying, you can also get one by defeating six NPC trainers in South Province (Area Three) and then talking to the Battle League Rep at the nearby Pokemon Center. Simply defeat six of the nearby trainers, and you’ll be gifted this Shell Bell for no cash at all. Plus, you actually make a nice pile of Pokédollars for beating the Trainers.
Once you have it, give it to a Pokemon and it will heal them in battle. The heal is a random amount each time that Pokemon deals damage in battle. The effect randomizes a percentage of their overall HP, and heals that, usually, it will amount to a heal less than a Potion, so less than 20 HP at low levels.
So what do you do with this item? The most common use of the item is for XP share training. What you do is put a high-level Pokemon in the first slot of a party, with multiple lower-level monsters behind it. Then, go to an area that has Pokemon of a median level where you can reliably one-shot them; they will earn decent XP. This will allow you to safely farm XP for weaker Pokemon, while the Shell Bell heals your main fighter.
The Shell Bell in Scarlet and Violet is also great in Tera Raids, as the healing factor can be clutch in taking on a boss.
