The Mosin-Nagant M1891 Avtomat is one of the more iconic and powerful rifles in Hunt: Showdown. The beast of a weapon will give you the range and stopping power you need to take on a variety of foes in your hunts. And with enough ammo and some persistence, the Avtomat can be one of the stalwart guns in the game.
There are two ways to unlock the Avtomat in Hunt: Showdown. The first option is to just grind for it. You will gain access to the Avtomat by reaching Rank 72, which unlocks the Mosin-Nagant M1891 inventory and then earning 5000 XP with any other Mosin-Nagant M1891 weapon. You will also have to pay the very high pricetag of $1250 to unlock it though.
There is a faster way though. you can instead loot the weapon during PvP. This means you need to head into Bounty Hunt and loot as many players as possible. This will require you to do two things: one, bring a dedicated build with lots of DPS and defense to survive firefights with other players, and two, pay attention to the firing sound of the weapon. The Avtomat in Hunt: Showdown has a very unique firing sound, with a distinct “CHUNK” sound when firing, listen for that to know which players to target and loot for the gun. The DIY Avtomat
Hunt: Showdown has a ton of weapon variety, and you can certainly use your own choices of weapon when hunting monsters. But if you’re looking for something with more punch, you certainly cannot go wrong with the Avtomat. And while the game has other faster-firing options, this one is too powerful to ignore for many players. But with it being kind of hard to find, some players choose to jump into other options that offer similar firepower.
Hunt: Showdown allows you to make your setups in any way you want. This means that even if you can’t get one gun, you can easily create a gear loadout that has similar range and stopping power. For the Avtomat, you’re going to be a little hard-pressed to find a direct comparison, as there are few guns with the style of play and the power of this weapon. With the akimbo setups in the game, you can at least get the fire rate down with various weapons, like a pair of Nagant M1895 Officer pistols. This will be much easier to get than the full weapon, but will lack the range and penetration of the real thing. But if you need to put rounds downrange, that is an option.
