Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will be available for PC on May 3rd. You can check out the entire video focusing on the rebuilding of one of the many Anglo-Saxon kingdoms throughout history below. The most recent Let’s Play video from Creative Assembly focuses on the Kingdom of Meirce. Meirce is the second of the primary English factions to get a Let’s Play style preview from the developers.
The video picks up fifteen turns into the campaign and shows off some of the various issues plaguing the faction during its quest for power. There’s also a quick look at some of the bonuses and penalties the faction gets handed at the start of the game. One of these unique modifiers is the existence of Pyrds. This modifier grants a bonus to the Meirce faction’s recruitable levies based on the number of owned settlements. Meirce armies can also enemy encampments after a victorious battle, adding any spoils to the treasury.
It’s from these meager beginnings and initial challenges that Meirce is built into powerhouse of English military might and political prowess. Can you repeat those successes in your games? Find out when Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia releases on May 3.
