Pokémon Go Fest obviously won’t be an in-person event in 2021, thanks to COVID-19, but that hasn’t stopped Niantic from putting on the show anyway. Now running as a digital in-game event, Pokémon Go Fest 2021 will be run over a course of days, with players buying in to take part in raids and other events.

Pokémon Go Fest will begin on July 17th, and with it comes a new theme. This year’s event is a music festival, featuring more new custom tracks from  Pokémon music producer Junichi Masuda. Classics and new tracks will feature heavily during the event, replacing the default music. The new tracks will be “a rock-and-rolling track for Pikachu Rock Star fans, a high-energy electro-pop song for Pikachu Pop Star stans,” Niantic said.

Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Zigzagoon, Gardevoir, and Flygon will also tie into the theme for the convention. These Pokémon will tool up a band and will headline special events around the digital gathering.
