Can you play Diablo Immortal on PC?

Diablo Immortal is almost here. And despite the massive backlash from its incredibly incompetent announcement, there remains some amount of hype around the mobile game. So here’s what we know about this new mobile game and what you can do in terms of playing on various platforms. A lot of things about that announcement were mishandled. One of the big things that players pointed to as a thumb in the eye was the lack of a PC version. The company has seemingly reversed course there, and will be releasing a PC port at some point.

We don’t know if there’s going to be a staggered release of the final game yet. We can confirm that it will be available on a PC when Diablo Immortal releases. You can register for the upcoming beta right now, but you might not get an invite at the same time. Blizzard will eventually bring folks in, but it will likely stagger waves of invites to slowly bring more servers online. This will allow them to better gauge actual support for the game.

The best way to pre-register for Diablo Immortal’s open beta will depend on how you want to play it. Despite the early news hinting at no PC port, that looks to have changed. Blizzard looks to be bringing a PC version at some point.

As of now, Diablo Immortal will be getting a beta for certain players this June. Since the beta drops on June 2, you will want to do this soon. There are three planned versions of the game coming out at some point. You can register for the beta now on any of the three platforms that will support the game at launch.

One of the good things about this split release approach is to have full cross-platform support. There will be cross-play functionality and cross-save with Diablo Immortal coming to PC and mobile devices. That means people looking to play with their friends won’t have to pick and choose what platform the play on.
