As part of E3 2019, Rebellion brought forth a slew of new games. One of which was the sequel, Evil Genius 2: World Domination.
The gameplay of Evil Genius 2: World Domination is just as the name implies, all about being evil. Rebellion, who is the developer on the project, is promising a very open-ended structure with hundreds of objectives to complete throughout the course of the game. And as was established by the first game, the who thing is very tongue-in-cheek about the nature of evil.
Players will pick a starting island and set of goals, and slowly build from their humble beginnings into a mega-empire of dastardly deeds. Managing your covert operations, like stealing secrets and selling them, is another key part of the gameplay loop in this title. How you balance expansion of your base versus building your overall power is a big choice.
Completing these various objectives will unlock more bits and pieces to use in the construction of your lair, offering new traps and dastardly concoctions to ensnare infiltrators and rivals. But also unlocking incredibly vicious research that can help further your evil designs. From brainwashing spies trying to inflitrate your domain, to baking Alaska with death rays, you have plenty of toys to play with.
The game is due for a 2020 release on PC. Check out the gameplay trailer for the new game down below.
