Will Outriders crossplay be a thing?

Being a team-based game, Outriders offers plenty of enjoyment for those looking to game with friends. Outriders is a third-person game that pits your team against a variety of monstrous foes in a shooter environment. With plenty of replayability and lots of loot to collect, there’s a clear target audience for this game. With all the different class options and abilities to explore and explode enemies with, there’s also a good reason to keep coming back to the game to try new things.

There have been ongoing questions about what the future of the game post-launch looks like. Will Outriders crossplay be a thing? That’s a very common question among the burgeoning fanbase. The short answer is that there will eventually be Outriders crossplay for all available platforms. The devs are working on it behind the scenes, they just haven’t released a timetable for the feature yet. So while it will happen, it may take time.

The developers also revealed that players will be receiving an upgrade to the next-gen version of the game for free. This will of course include your progress carrying over if you move to the new versions, so that’s good.

The game was originally going to release in December 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic had other plans, causing the game to get pushed back. With that delay though, things aren’t as simple as the game will now be releasing on February 2, 2021. The game will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia. Check out the latest trailer for the game below.
