When the first batch of Pokémon for Sword and Shield were revealed, players loved the roster additions. Wooloo is an adorable sheep that became one of the first Pokémon you were introduced to through Hop. This sheep Pokémon is seemingly one that many players have fallen in love with. Pokémon Go, and the rest of the Pokémon franchise, love Shiny hunting. These unique spawns come in many forms. And it has certainly become a bit of an obsession for hardcore PvPers and casual fans alike.
So that all leaves us with one question, can you catch a shiny Wooloo?
Can you catch a shiny Wooloo in Pokémon Go?
Tonight, from 6 PM to 7 PM in your local time zone, is the first Wooloo Spotlight Hour in the mobile game. And if you don’t know, that’s a good thing for shiny fans. One of the main draws of a Spotlight Hour is the boosted spawn rate for shiny variants of any monster that gets caught in the spotlight. And yes, that means normally non-shiny Pokes can spawn as shiny.
This doesn’t apply to all Pokémon during a Spotlight Hour, as Niantic doesn’t always have the shiny prepared ahead of time. And that appears to be the case this time around. It is not currently possible to catch a Shiny Wooloo. And that will also be the case during the Spotlight Hour. As sad as that is, there’s probably a reason for it. The Pokémon Company probably just hasn’t created the asset yet, so there’s no way Niantic would be able to. So while it would be nice to get this particular shiny, it’s not going to be an option.
