CIG release new Around the Verse and more videos

Star Citizen Origin 100

Star Citizen developer, Cloud Imperium Games, has revealed the Origin 100 starter ship that will be usable by all players when the game launches in full. The reveal trailer shows off a sleek and and reliable ship that is a great multi-role craft for any Star Citizen beginner. A forum post accompanied the announcement trailer, which can be viewed below. The video also showcased some plans CIG has for the future of racing and competitive content within the game.

Backers also got to see some plans that CIG devs have for NPC trading and other aspects of the game. There’s some cool insights into AI design as well. A fair bit of this episode of Calling All Devs also focuses on UI implementations like those built around the MobiGlas.

Check it out.

With all the class and sophistication you already associate with Origin Jumpworks, elegantly presented in an attractive, compact frame, the 100 series has been designed specifically for solo pilots looking to turn heads without sacrificing functionality or reliability.

But that wasn’t the only thing CIG put out this week to the delight of Star Citizen fans. The team behind released a new Around the Verse video. This new edition of behind-the-scenes footage talks about how the team is working to weave together storytelling and gameplay in new ways.

There’s also some other tidbits such as new tech behind shaders, specifically glass shaders and performance updates, that’s quite interesting. But that’s just scratching the surface of the content in this weeks Around The Verse from CIG. Check it out below.
