Of all the games to get fresh content in 2020, one would be forgiven for not putting Batman: Arkham Knight at the top of the list. It turns out that was a mistake. as the game just got a surprise patch. Well, it’s not much, but it’s something. The developer has just announced that a new batch of two costumes is headed to the game.
The reveal comes out via Twitter, with gamers getting two festive costumes for 2020 to help ring in the holidays. The first is a classic 1958 alien version of Batlman called Zur En Arrrh. It’s a very retro design as has the incredibly campy look to prove it. The second is much more modern, and adds one more costume option to the 2015 action game. The second skin is called the anime skin and, as the name implies, based on the Batman: Gotham Knight anime released in 2008.
Both skins are available for all players now in Batman: Arkham Knight for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Rocksteady, who have been known to produce some killer licensed games in the DC universe, are working on something else as well. The company is getting ready to release a game based on the Suicide Squad of villains.
The new game is due in 2022 and stars the villains of the universe in a superteam of evil. Players will get to team up and use each members unique skills in various missions that test their power and skill. The game is set in an open world, and offers plenty of things to do, all centered around the idea of gaining wealth and power for the bad guys. “Each squad member has their own unique moveset with enhanced traversal abilities to freely explore the dynamic open-world of Metropolis, along with a variety of weapons to customize and skills to master,” said the studio.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is on its way to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
Rocksteady’s next title they’re working on in the DC Universe is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is set for release in 2022.
