Square Enix teases new Final Fantasy XV mobile spin-off

Final Fantasy XV Mobile

Square Enix has teased a new game, Final Fantasy XV Mobile. This mobile spin-off will push players across a much larger world than the one where Noctis and bros began their journey. The story will include elements from the main game, but will largely be a unique experience. The various regions across the world will be open to players in some way. And this new journey will be fraught with new challenges too.

Various new and returning characters will be making their way to the game in some form, as the key art suggests. So it will be very interesting to see what the developers have in store for the fans. There has been one very cool detail confirmed though. The new game will use Unreal Engine to create it’s backbone, making for a very beautiful game.

report from Inven confirms that Square Enix has confirmed that the Final Fantasy XV mobile spin-off will be developed in partnership with JSC Games. The game will be a Chinese release first, but there are rumors that a port will come West at some point. No word yet if it’s a free-to-play title or a premium release. This will be a partnership with Chinese-based GAEA Mobile as well.

GAEA Mobile has produced a variety of mobile titles with an RPG and online focus for China since their founding in 2014. These titles include pretty standard fantasy fair like Castle Age, Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon, Elves vs. Dwarves and much more. This new project, Final Fantasy XV Mobile, will push players towards the typical gaming trappings in the mobile space.
