Stranded Deep is a game all about survival. When you’re not struggling to find food and water, you need to be thinking about long-term survival. To make the best use of your time in the game, and ensure your survival, you’re eventually going to need to leave the starter island. That’s where the crafting really kicks off. But don’t get it twisted, there’s a lot more to this game than just basic recipes.
How To Make Lashing in Stranded Deep
Lashing is one of the most basic components in the game. You’re going to use a lot of it to make the various components you need to survive. You just need to craft a few basic tools to gather the materials, then do some hunting around for the rest of the materials. To get the materials to make Lashing you first need to make a Stone Tool.
The Stone Tool is made from, you guessed it, stone. The first thing you need to do is gather a rock. The medium-sized rocks that look like big pebbles are the ones you’re after. There are larger rocks, those are not the ones you want.
Once you have a few rocks, open your Crafting list. This menu has all the recipes you’ve unlocked. Highlight and craft the Stone Tool in the list. From there, you need to find a Yucca Tree. This is the tree that you need to harvest lashing in Stranded Deep from. The Yucca look like very tall palms, and say YUCCA when you hover over them. You can make Lashing with Palm Saplings as well, but this uses later tools in the game. Anyway, to get Lashing, you need 4x Fibrous Leaves. Hack away at the Yucca to get Fibrous Leaves. Use the crafting menu to make Lashing.
You could also get into cheating if you’re not too keen on playing normally.
