We’re here with another week of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Week 3 Challenges. These new challenges are all pretty mixed, and will take you all over the map. You can earn a total of 280,000 XP with these challenges. It’s a very good idea to spread completing some of these challenges until later in the week, as players will be rushing around for the first couple of days.
These challenges can be found on our full rundown as well, but you will want to use this guide to get the full details on each of the challenges.
SEARCH CHESTS OR AMMO BOXES AT MISTY MEADOWS (7) – 35,000 XP
The area will be fairly packed with players this week, so be careful. It’s likely best to save this task until last for this round. The Misty Meadows area will be a very buys POI. It will be very difficult to stack up kills easily through ambushes and other tactics. There will be fewer weapons to find and ammo will be in short supply. But if you’re looking for a challenge, this is a good challenge.
Be patient and don’t rush into this. Just go through the zone in a couple of days, maybe in off-peak times during the week, as this means there may be less veteran players online mucking about with you.
ELIMINATIONS AT THE AUTHORITY (3) – 35,000 XP
Fortnite players should have no trouble finding targets for this challenge. Sitting dead centre on the map, The Authority is always one of the most packed POIs. Its prime location coupled with the presence of two Mythic items all but guarantees that there will be swarms of players there.
The safest way to complete this challenge is in the Team Rumble mode. This will eliminate certain NPC enemies from getting in your way. Still, this will be a very packed area, as players love to land here all the time. This will make the challenge very hard to get done easily, unless you get really lucky.
The Authority’s location on the map makes it hard to miss, as it is dead in the center of the map. So get in there quick and ambush a few folks to get the fun started.
COLLECT FLOATING RINGS AT LAZY LAKE (4) – 35,000 XP
This is the challenge that will have you flying through the air. For here, start from the Team Rumble mode to get it done faster. There are multiple rings that will be floating above the battlefield when you spawn in. Just glide around and collect as many as you can before hitting the ground. Once you’re in the mode, it’s a matter of timing your jump from the Battle Bus.
Regardless of where the Bus is coming from, your goal is the Lazy Lake POI. Float down over this area, grabbing as many as you can. For any that you miss, just build a tall structure and leap to your end. This will force you to respawn in the sky and you can float down and grab any that you missed. Rinse and repeat until you’re finished.
DANCE ON TOP OF THE CRANE AT RICKETY RIG (1) – 35,000 XP
Probably the easiest challenge on the list. You just need to emote on top of a certain place on the map. Jump out of the Battle Bus nearby to the Rickety Rig POI. landing on top of it will be the first goal. After that, just perform any emote to complete this challenge.
If you miss the landing, there are ramps on the side of the rig that you can use to get up there with a bit of building and jumping.
DEAL DAMAGE FROM INSIDE THE CORNFIELD AT FRENZY FARM (100) – 35,000 XP
It might seem like an easy challenge, but it’s actually kind of tricky to position right. You have to be inside the Frenzy Farm cornfield and deal a total of 100 damage from there. you don’t need to get kills to get the challenge necessarily, just accumulate 100 damage inside the area during a match.
Many players will be rushing here and trying to find a weapon. Take advantage of their hurry and take things a bit slower. If you spend some time to recon and follow and unaware player, you can score an easy kill. The corn itself will make it easier to melt back into cover when you ambush a player. You need to be fast when executing the ambush though, don’t stand around waiting for more players to come running. Other players will rush headlong into the fight trying to take the winner out, use that to your advantage as well.
DESTROY CARS WITHIN 60 SECONDS OF LANDING AT RETAIL ROW FROM THE BATTLE BUS (2) – 35,000 XP
You will need to spam your way through chewing your way through a bunch of cars and making them detonate. This isn’t easy, mainly because of how quick you have to be and how much foot traffic will be rolling through the zone during this week. Retail Row only has so many cars to go around. So today and for the next few days there will be tons of players rushing the zone to complete the challenge. Getting the cars you need will be hard during this time. You have a few days to get the challenge though, so don’t rush. You will see critical points light up on the car when engaging
LAND A CHOPPA AT THE BOTTOM OF STEAMY STACKS (1) – 35,000 XP
One of the more unique challenges, this one requires players to take to the air and land a Choppa at the bottom of the Steamy Stacks POI. If you’re looking for a Choppa, they spawn at the following locations:
- The Authority
- Rickety Rig
- The Fortilla
- Sweaty Sands
- Misty Meadows
- Frenzy Farm
- The Yacht
- Weather Station above Catty Corner
- Weather Station north of Frenzy Farm
The Choppas at The Yacht, Frenzy Farm and the Weather Station north of Frenzy Farm are located closest to Steamy Stacks. Choose one and head there immediately at the start of the game. Get whatever Choppa is best for you and head out. It’s best to do this near the beginning of the match when no one really has any heavy weapons to seriously harass you.
DEAL DAMAGE TO OPPONENTS AT CATTY CORNER (200) – 35,000 XP
These types of challenges should usually be completed first but in this case, it doesn’t matter. Catty Corner is the hottest spot on the map. Kit, the Vault and two Mythic Weapons make it so.
With Kit, the Vault and two Mythic Weapons in the Catty Corner, this will likely be the most dangerous challenge to take on. The amount of players in this small area will make the POI very crowded, very quickly. This will be a very difficult challenge to complete unless you stealth it. Land nearby and try and stealth your way in.
The best way to get the damage cap you need is to engage players that are already fighting. Set up a secure firing position within the zone and pop off rounds at targets that are already being fought by someone else. You will have to worry less about them shooting back at you, and more often they will be concerned with who started shooting them first. Take advantage of that confusion and tunnel vision and snag some easy kills to complete this challenge.
