Bethesda just rolled out a huge update for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Fallout 76, and it’s really freaking big. The game already weighs in at around 50 GB, and now that filesize has effectively doubled with this patch, adding another 47 GB to Fallout 76.
There’s a ton of bug fixes and adjustments to the game and its content in this humongous patch. The game has had a massive batch of rendering and graphical issues addressed. Some issues with camera controls have also been fixed. PvP aspects have been tweaked to allow for less annoying spawns and PvP flagging. The Revenge mechanics have also been adjusted so that rewards now correctly display.
There’s some adjustments to the display and UI aspects of Fallout 76 as well in the update. Some UI elements concerning both hotkeys and social systems have been reworked. Various language issues and display problems have also been addressed.
But not everyone is happy with the progress Bethesda has made in getting the game up to snuff. In a post on Twitter, @GeoffLife shared a video originally from a Facebook post by Tarenthis Campbell, of what happened when a guy who was trying to return his copy of Fallout 76 to Gamestop, but a cash refund was denied due to company policy surrounding returning new games that have been opened. We don’t hear the conversation prior to the incident, but it’s pretty easy to guess what happened. The man in the video wanted to return his game for a full refund, Gamestop policy only offers store credit or an exchange for opened new games, the man was not happy. And well, the results can be seen in the video below.
