Fortnite update 7.30 adds a Chiller Grenade

Fortnite Update 7.30 Details

Epic Games has launched the newest patch for their runaway success, Fortnite. As usual, there’s a ton to go through, so let’s get started. First up is new additions, modes and content.

Frostbite Challenges now reward the Spectral Blade weapon in Save the World modes. Players can also celebrate Super Bowl LIII with new Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots uniforms that were added to the Fourth Down Outfit set. Other new weapons, such as the icy Chiller Grenade have been introduced.

Meanwhile, the Bolt-action Sniper Rifle, Burst Rifle, Heavy Shotgun and SMG have been Vaulted, while the Suppressed SMG has been Unvaulted. The Guided Missile has been removed from Playgrounds.

There’s even a new limited-time mode called Solid Gold. Item drops have all been improved to Legendary, and material drops have been buffed,  basically making this a recipe for the most chaotic and competitive Fortnite you’ll ever play.

There’s actually quite a lot of bug-smashing going on in this patch too. A bunch of issues with animations, sound cues, and UI quirks were addressed this patch. The playlist screens and Spectator modes should now work as intended with the launch of 7.30 in Fortnite. Other visual oddities have been changed, for example, rotating the camera on the Battle Bus no longer has an oscillating/swimming effect on the minimap. Finally on the fixes front, issues with networking and performance have been smoothed out in a few areas. Items like Boogie Bombs should now work as intended regardless of who is wearing what items.
