Warframe Guide: How to get Vauban

How to get Vauban in Warframe

If you’ve ever played Warframe, you know the trials and tribulations of unlocking a new piece of gear. Gathering the materials and blueprints is hard and tedious work. One of the bigger annoyances is gathering the parts and materials to build the Warframes themselves. These ultra-powerful tools of destruction take a major time and resource investment. So ISKMogul is here to guide your hand in farming the materials needed to create each frame. Next up after Ivara and Garuda, is Vauban.

Our newest guide for Warframe is all about the classic frame, Vauban. He’s been around in the game for years, but the recent Update 26 patch series pushed him back into relevance again. Vauban is aimed at newer players though, so he’s pretty versatile in terms of the builds you can bolt on. His Tesla AoE attack can be ramped up to stupidly high power levels. And his Bounce ability makes him highly mobile in a tight spot. Bastille and Vortex offer solid crowd-control options in group play when dealing with large waves.

Getting the Blueprints is your first step with Vauban, as with any other crafting job in Warframe. Another way to get the Blueprints is to trade Nightwave Creds for them, if you’ve got any spares laying around during the intermission. The BPs cost a total of 75 Nightwave Creds, so they’re fairly easy to get through this method. You will still need 35.000 Credits for the main assembly BP, buy that through the in-game market.

Luckily for you new people, he is one of the easiest Warframes to farm for. Here’s the rundown for all the basic resources you need for each Blueprint. These are very common and you will farm thousands of them just through progressing the Star Chart. Any mission on these planets has a chance to drop these items from enemies and chests, just play fast and keep popping loot when you see it. Make sure you’re dropping your extractors every few hours to grab a few hundred resources each time, this is a huge time saver.

The rarer resources are a bit harder to find, and are meant to be run with a higher Mastery Rank, as part of more endgame-focused farming strategies.

Here’s the breakdown for the resources you need to farm to unlock this frame’s parts:

Chassis

Neuroptics

Systems

Full Frame

Once you have all of the needed Blueprints and materials, you can kick off production of the parts all at once to save time. In total, you will need 24 hours to assemble the three parts and the total frame, assuming you start the three parts at the same time. If not, expect to wait 12 hours for each one individually. The final assembly will take a total of 72 hours. Spending Platinum will allow you to rush the construction, although your Platinum is better reserved for other things, like trading for Prime variants.

Warframe is free-to-play now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. The developers recently deployed the Rising Tide update, which introduced the first of the player-built ships, the Railjack.
