There’s lots to be done in this far-flung future, and new content is always being added. And resource gathering is always a thing you’re going to need to do. That’s why this guide on how to get Argon Crystals in Warframe is being put up.
How to Get Argon Crystals in Warframe
Players can get Argon Crystals in Warframe by running missions in the Void and collecting them occasionally as rare drops from promo codes. Void Missions are sometimes some of the tougher missions in the game before you unlock the Steel series of missions, and they can be very rewarding. Some of the best farms for both Relics and resources take place here.
Head to Void Exterminate or Capture Missions and run those as much as you need. Capture missions can be completed in under a minute per run. This is hands down one of the best ways to farm for Relics and mission drops in the game. Just chase the target down right away and grab them, then you have time to farm the level for resources. Just be sure to break any Argon Deposits to get Argon Crystals from them. The Exterminate missions are a bit tougher, but doable for this. You need to survive tons of waves of enemies. It’s best to bring a team for this one, preferably with a Nekros that’s tuned to increase drops.
Method 2 – Void Survival and Defense Missions – This is the best squad farming method, hands down. If you have a good team with a Nekros and Smeeta Kavat using Charm, you can guarantee almost triple the number of loot drops in a mission.
So why would you need to farm this? That’s an easy question to answer, there are a lot of Prime variants of frames and weapons that use it. Here are just a few of the Prime Warframes and other items that use Argon Crystals in Warframe.

Another reason you have to farm for them so consistently is that Argon Crystals will decay,
Every 24 hours passed on the server, your oldest crystals will enter a decay state. This is a set timer for certain resources, meant to encourage farming them right before you need them. It’s pretty annoying for some players, but such is life in Warframe.
- If you start a day with 10 Crystals, when GMT 00:00 hits, those 10 will enter a Decaying state.
- If you gather another 10 crystals that day, you will have 20, but half of them will be Decaying.
- When GMT 00:00 hits on the second day, the 10 Decaying Argon Crystals will disappear, and the remaining 10 wil enter a Decaying state.
