Warframe Guide: How to get Volt

How To Get Volt In Warframe

If you’ve ever played Warframe, you know the trials and tribulations of unlocking a new piece of gear. Gathering the materials and blueprints is hard and tedious work. One of the bigger annoyances is gathering the parts and materials to build the Warframes themselves. These ultra-powerful tools of destruction take a major time and resource investment. So ISKMogul is here to guide your hand in farming the materials needed to create each frame. We already did guides Ivara and Garuda, and Vauban. Now it’s time to go grab Volt.

Volt being one of the starter Warframes makes him a common pick for new players due to his speed. The versatility of builds on Volt is also pretty appealing. Volt is a fast and agile frame, making him a great starter choice. His Prime variant is also one of the most powerful in the game at the moment, so a lot of players backtrack to farm for him later in the game, once they have the Mods to kit Volt out properly.

Volt’s abilities tilt towards specific types of damage, with a particular effectiveness against Corpus enemies. Volt has a few different complimentary abilities like Shock and Electric Shield offer a mix of offensive and defensive options in combat. More veteran players can make use of Speed and Overload to create sudden bursts of DPS and mobility to overwhelm enemies. Volt offers a strong baseline for a standard DPS build as a part of any group. Check him out in the spotlight trailer below.

Getting the Blueprints for Volt is pretty easy. All you need is enough Credits and a Clan. Once you’ve joined a Clan and have access to a Dojo, head to the Tenno Lab in the Dojo and purchase the blueprints for Volt. Altogether they four Volt Blueprints cost 80,000 Credits across four BPs. Once you have the BPs, it’s time to start farming.

Those of you coming from our other guides will notice that the requirements to build Volt are basically the same as Vauban. Digital Extremes wanted players to have options when it came to frames, so this was an intentional design choice. As with other Warframes, just play the game until you fill out your Star Chart, then focus on filling out your Warframe roster. We’ve included the best Mission spots to get the resources you need down below. Make sure you’re dropping your extractors every few hours to grab a few hundred resources each time, this is a huge time saver.

The rarer resources are a bit harder to find, and are meant to be run with a higher Mastery Rank, as part of more endgame-focused farming strategies.

Here’s the breakdown for the resources you need to farm to unlock this frame’s parts:

Chassis

Neuroptics

Now that you’ve gathered all of your materials, it’s time to assemble Volt. You’re going to need at least 72 hours to wait out once you begin final assembly. Each part will take 12 hours to build, so you’re going to be waiting a while. This is why it’s advised to not jump straight into farming. You want to have multiple things you can be working on while the days and potentially weeks it can take to farm resources and build new Warframes to elapse. Spending Platinum will allow you to rush the construction, although your Platinum is better reserved for other things, like trading for Prime variants.

Warframe is free-to-play now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. The developers recently deployed the Rising Tide update, which introduced the first of the player-built ships, the Railjack. You will want to jump on that to be ready when Empyrean drops next year.
