Paladins September 11 patch adds new Pirate’s Treasure Battle Pass

Paladins

The latest patch notes for Paladins are out, showing off a ton of balance changes, bug fixes and other changes in the card-based shooter. The big focus with this patch is on the upcoming pirate-themed Battle Pass coming this November. The Battle Pass will cost 600 crystals, and grant players ton of new content to screw around with. The Paladins Pirate Treasure Battle Pass includes a bunch of rewards for owners, so you’ll want to snap it up when it comes out.

The Play Screen, Champions Selection Screen, and the Battle Pass Screen were overhauled to make info more legible and easier to access. The patch also includes new map variants for King of the Hill game modes. Koga, Ruckus and a handful of other champions got some adjustments this update, mostly to their skins and other visual aspects. And of course, that’s just the beginning of the bug fixes. A bunch of UI issues, like dealing with Aspect Ratio glitches, have been phased out. There’s a few dozen bug fixes in all, you should look below to see them all.

And speaking of heroes, several got cards and abilities updated this patch. Specifically, the following heroes have had adjustments made to their abilities or cards: Ying, Zhin, Strix, Tyra, Torvald, Ruckus, Pip, Maeve, Mal’Damba, Io, Kahn, Koga, Imani,, Drogoz, Fernando, Cassie, Dredge.

You can find the full patch notes for the update down below. This marks the 7th major patch Hi-Rez has pushed out for the game, while looking to overhaul the game and bring in more players. And with the addition of PS4 cross-platform play recently, it looks like those efforts are primed for success.

Each split, maps will either be in the active or reserved map pool. Reserved maps will not appear while playing ranked during that split. Drogoz

Dev Commentary: W.Y.R.M. Jets has allowed Drogoz’ to stay in the air until killed, but with little worry for resource management. W.Y.R.M. Jets players will have the same ability to get and stay in the air, but now have to be more careful with managing their fuel. Increased effectiveness in the base booster, will also allow other talents to directly compete with W.Y.R.M. Jets.

Fernando

Dev Commentary: Fernando’s ability to have his shield broken from crowd control effects has made it hard for him to compete with other Front Lines. We’re giving him higher frequency at base, and a new card to push it even further.
