Warframe Guide: How to get Mesa

How To Get Mesa In Warframe

We’re back once again here at ISKMogul with yet another Warframe guide. For you new folks in the back, Warframe is a free-to-play shooter made by Canadian studio, Digital Extremes. The game has earned a pretty good reputation over the years for delivering a truckload of fun and engaging content across a variety of expansions.

There’s always more to learn though, so knowing all the secrets to Warframe isn’t easy. But helping new players learn is great for the game, so here’s our next Warframe guide, and just like our other guides recently, we’re going back to basics. A lot of new players seem to always need advice on farming or finding an item. “How do I unlock this Warframe?” and “Where do I find this item?” are very common questions in the community. So following our guides on farming and building Warframes like Ivara, Garuda, Vauban and others, here’s a new how to get a Warframe guide.

Next up is Mesa, “The gunslinger Mesa wields both style and power to overcome her foes in a rapid shower of ballistic ordnance.” She’s all about the fast-paced ranged action, and is a great supporting DPS frame to use in a group.

Her core abilities are focused her deadly pair of Regulator Pistols. She uses these to incredibly effect. Peacemaker is a pure DPS ability, great in a pinch against a tough enemy. Shatter Shield is her purely defensive option. Shooting Gallery is a great support addition for Mesa, jamming out incoming DPS while also granting an allied damage buff.

Check it out in the trailer below.

The first major hurdle to unlocking Mesa is unlocking a couple of key components. One of which requires its own Blueprint. I’m talking about the Mutalist Alad V Assassinate Key.

Luckily, a part of farming this item involves killing the same boss that you will need to farm Mesa Blueprints from, so it’s time to kill two birds with one stone. Mutalist Alad V is one of the two bosses of Eris, and you will need the Key crafted first before you can challenge him. Look below for the resources you need to craft it. You will need to complete the Patient Zero quest first to gain access to the mission to carry out the boss kill.

Some special notes about Nav Coordinates. The basic variants are commonly found inside storage containers and lockers on every level, including the Orokin Void, and are rarely dropped by Eximi, Feral Kubrows, and Drahks.

The Mutalist Alad V Nav Coordinate is a battle pay reward from Infested Invasions or Orokin Derelict Survival/Defense reward or resource caches from Hive Sabotage.

Once you have that crafted, it’s time to begin farming for the basic and rarer resources you need to actually craft Mesa. After you’ve farmed the BPs of course. Below, you will find the percent chance of a drop being one of the components:

Here’s a quick primer on what missions on what planets to do if you’re farming basic resources. We’ve listed the most common of the resources you will need here.

Then there’s the rare drops. The hardest to get here are the Oxium and Argon Crystal. Oxium is just plain hard to farm for. Argon Crystals are a rare resource that drops in the Orokin Void tileset and from certain Assassination targets. Unlike other resources, Argon Crystals decay after a period of time. After this period the resources will disappear from the user’s inventory. Very annoying.

To assemble Mesa, you will need the following resources for each part, and some extras for final assembly:

Chassis

Neuroptics

Systems

Full Frame

Once you have all the Blueprints, head to the Foundry and start build. Although remember, it’s going to take time. And the few days you have to wait can be better spent doing other farming or leveling up gear, so save your Platinum and don’t rush it. Also, check to make sure you have an open slot before beginning the build.

Warframe is free-to-play now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. The developers recently deployed the Rising Tide update, which introduced the first of the player-built ships, the Railjack. You will want to jump on that to be ready when Empyrean drops next year.
