The Last of Us 1.02 patch to fix bugs and remove phone sex lines

The Last of Us

A bit of controversy with The Last of Us got noticed by eagle-eyed gamers when players noticed that phone numbers listed on some in-game scenery were real. These numbers were linked to premium phone sex lines, which charge a premium for what amounts to phone-based sex work. It’s a pretty bad look for Naughty Dog and Sony. So the new The Last of Us 1.02 patch was released by the developer to remove the phone number.

The adventure of Joel and Ellie has found a ton of success and pushed the PS3 back into a major bit of prominence this year. The post-apocalyptic epic adventure has a great story with a lot of emotion and immersion. Without spoiling anything, it’s a game you need to play. It’s such a good game that I would even call it the best PS3 game of the year, if not ever.

The patch also adds in a few technical fixes, mostly focusing on the multiplayer lobbies for the game. Some camera issues in some multiplayer areas have also been fixed. Players should notice a few less bugs overall.
