Mojang has just deployed the newest snapshot for Minecraft. The bug fixing and testing of new and old features alike continues. Minecraft Snapshot 20W19A will bring a bevy of bug fixes, and a few minor adjustments to gameplay elements as its core changes. The new snapshot also includes a minor adjustment to Nether biomes, namely that blackstone and gravel now generate there. Also Soul Sand should generate properly now too.
As for bug fixes in this new version, there’s quite a few. A minor tweak to Villagers also opens up their defensive abilities, as all of them now spawn iron golems. Villager logic surrounding beds, sleeping sn other behavior was a bit buggy, that has now been fixed in Minecraft Snapshot 20W19A. Bugs with other mobs like Enderman have been fixed too.
For the new Remnant content from 20W16A, there have only been a few tweaks regarding the balancing of spawns. The new Bastions introduced in the last snapshot have also had their spawn rates adjusted. Certain biome features are now less plentiful when bonemealed as well. NEW FEATURES IN IN 20W19A

- MC-160250 – Naturally generated villagers are not pathfinding towards their POI; POI detection range is too small
- MC-166764 – Villagers spawned on world generation have a lower follow range than villagers spawned by other means

Snapshots are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. To install the snapshot, open up the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Installations” tab.
Snapshots can corrupt your world, so please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.
