Minecraft Snapshot 20W19A

Editor’s Note: This post incorrectly listed 20W16A as 20W19A, the Minecraft Snapshot 20W19A patch notes can be found here.

Mojang has been working steadily on new Nether-based content for coming updates, but that has not stopped their work on other minor content within the game. And just today the developers have issued a new Snapshot for testing some minor content updates and bug fixes. The newest Snapshot, Minecraft Snapshot 20W16A brings new content to the game and some minor changes.

A few new gameplay additions add a few new items that players may want to explore. The new Bastion content leads the charge, adding new units to the roster of NPCs and enemies in the game, as well as some new structures and building tools based on the faction. Players exploring this content will find new houses, bridges and other structures with this new flavor within Remnant areas.

The patch for the new Snapshot also includes minor bug fixes for issues affecting biome load and generation, as well as some backend problems affecting server stability.

JMX MONITORING

It is now possible to monitor the server tick times though JMX.
The rationale for this is that JMX is a well known and supported monitoring technology with existing integrations and tools.

This enables server admins to hook alerts and graphing tools using ordinary JMX clients and dashboards.
