Forza Horizon 5 PC System Requirements – minimum and recommended specs

Forza Horizon 5

The PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 5 have been revealed as players rush to the starting line. When a new game comes out like this, PC gamers always want to know if their rig will make the cut. This guide will lay out what the developers have listed as the ideal PC system requirements for the new racing game.

Below you will find the full specs, for both AMD and Nvidia users, so pretty much any system should be able to get checked against this and pass. The minimum uses first-generation Ryzen parts or an Intel Haswell-era i5-4460. If you have anything older or weaker than that, sorry, but you’re out of luck. It is definitely time for a CPU upgrade if you’re after that ideal gaming experience.

On the GPU side, given the current market, an upgrade is hard to get. With the tracks and beautiful cars, there’s a lot to render. And if you’re CPU and GPU are too different in terms of power; elements like the new sound design can cause a severe bottleneck, so you need a good GPU. If you have a 900-series GTX GPU, which is ancient by modern standards, you can at least run the game at 30 FPS. The RX 470 on the AMD side is even worse, and really will struggle to even deliver a consistent 30.

The developer also lists an ideal spec as using a Ryzen 3000-series or an Intel 10th gen CPU, which is more than enough to run this game. Assuming you have anything better than that, this game should run like a dream. Anyone with a 3000-series GPU should be more than fine. On the AMD side, a Radeon 6800 XT is listed, and packs plenty of power to render racing in high fidelity.
