Elden Ring 1.04 Patch Notes

How to Increase Item Drop Rate in Elden Ring

The new Elden Ring Patch Notes just dropped, teasing gamers of the planned changes to many different items, skills and enemies in this new version. The patch is 1.8GB in size, and has a positively massive amount of changes included in the notes. There’s a lot here, so let’s talk about some of the broad strokes in the Elden Ring 1.4 patch. There’s a lot, like a huge amount.

In terms of gameplay, many different things are shifting around or being altered. Players at low levels will notice a more sustainable growth rate of FP and Stamina, making the early game a bit less challenging. This update shouldn’t be save-breaking, but players will need to level up or equip stat-changing items to see the new stat changes applied to their character.

Item balance changes were another big area in Elden Ring 1.4. Damage has been buffed on items like the Grafted Blade Greatsword and Devourer’s Scepter. Colossal Swords/Colossal Weapons were also a big focus of item changes.

A minor change to allow for camera auto-rotate to be turned off has been patched in. Also, quests in some cases are being adjusted to add phases, making their progression a bit clearer to the player.

Sorcery/Incantation adjustments are also included. Many will now cast faster and be more open for certain builds, thanks to lower stat requirements. This also applies to weapon skils. It would seem that FromSoft acknowledged that a lot of skills and spells were too slow and clunky to be used in combat, so the tone of the chnages seems to be aimed at fixing that. Elden Ring 1.04 has a truly massive amount of these adjustments, so look at the patch notes below to figure it all out.
