Between the Sheets is a bit of a departure from the wild and crazy nonsense that is Critical Role, but it’s a treat nonetheless. The interviews with various industry pros, voice actors and just lovely people in general are somewhat of a gold standard for insights into the games industry, tabletop gaming and nerd culture.
The latest episode, featuring Ashley Johnson being interviewed by host Brian W. Foster, offers the aforementioned treats and so much more. Ashley Johnson is known for many things, from playing Chrissy Seaver in Growing Pains, to more modern roles like playing Agent Patterson on Blindspot. Many gamers will of course know her for roles like Ellie in The Last of Us.
Johnson touches on her history with games and geekdom, her experiences as an actor and plenty of other things she’s done. Check out the full interview down below, it’s wonderful.
One particular point of interest for gamers is when the topic of The Last of Us Part 2 comes up, and Johnson appears to tease a potential launch window of February 2020, before either cutting herself off or letting Foster interrupt.
Naughty Dog has yet to confirm The Last of Us Part 2 release date, and though it’s been strongly hinted that a 2020 launch window is pretty firm, take this stuff with a grain of salt. It’s also worth mentioning that this is likely an internal date if true, which means it’s certainly possible that the February 2020 date could shift around.
So whatever happens with this game, I know millions of gamers can’t wait to see where Ellie’s story goes next. You can really tell that Ashley Johnson is very excited about the character and her trajectory, so anything could happen.
The Last of Us: Part 2 is rumored for release in February 2020 on PS4.
