Xbox Live Games with Gold line-up for August 2019 announced

Xbox Live Games with Gold August announced

Microsoft has just revealed the next batch of four free video games that will be part of the Xbox Live Games With Gold initiative for August 2019.

Gears of War 4 leads the charge into battle, continuing the story of the brawny and over-the-top action of the COG war against an invading xenos menace. With the fifth mainline game due soon, why not hop onto the Xbox One and refresh yourself with the story so far.

Forza Motorsport 6 then races onto the track to round out the offerings for the Xbox One this month. The latest main title in the long-running racing series, ahead of Horizon 4 of course, offers all of the racing, car customization and beautiful visuals that racing sim fans want and need.

For the Xbox 360, we also get two new titles as well. Those two are the ARPG romp Torchlight, which offers a lot of loot-based slaughtering of monsters in a small package. And the whole bundle is topped off with the bloody satisfying Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Gears 4 will drop on August 1st, and Forza 6 will run from August 16 to September 15. Torchlight is available for two weeks from August 1; then on August 16 till August 31, Castlevania jumps into the fray. So if you’re looking to snag some free games, this might be worth a look.

It’s a pretty great deal given the relatively small expense of Xbox Live Gold, especially when combined with extremely popular Game Pass Ultimate, offering more than 200 free games as well. For just the cost of the $15 sub, you get great new games every month. In this case, you could easily spend nearly $100 on these four games alone, so that makes this, in essence, a wonderful discount.

You can see the full list of games and more details on the official site. If you’re a more visual person, check out the trailer for this new offer down below.
