Xbox Game Pass adds Celeste, Five Nights at Freddy's, other titles

Xbox Game Pass has gotten a new batch of games on the tail-end of October 2020. Fourteen new games have been added, some of these we already knew. Microsoft has finally revealed the next batch of games, and it’s quite the mix of genres. LucasArts games feature pretty heavily, as we already knew, but let’s talk about some other standout titles.

These games are broken up into bundles that land on specific dates, with some coming to PC, and others going to console or mobile versions. First up is Cartography indie game Carto on the 27th. The next bundle lands on October 29 with Grim Fandango Remastered, Full Throttle Remastered and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. These games will be on both the PC and console versions of the platform.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 1-4 and Unruly Heroes will follow for console, PC and Android. Did I mention that Xbox Game Pass is on Android now? So if you’re in the need for a mobile scare, you’re in luck.

Celeste is joined by various games on console, PC and Android alongside Deep Rock Galactic, Eastshade and Ark: Survival Evolved Explorer’s Edition. These games all land on November 5. That version of Ark: Survival Evolved includes all the expansion content, by the way. The month is rounded out by adventure game Knights & Bikes—coming to consoles and PC—to be further joined by Comanche on PC.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is the iconic and genre-defining jumpscare game that popularized many a YouTubers. If you’ve somehow never heard of it, you should give it a try if you’re into horror games. The mixture of pulse-pounding scares and puzzle mechanics is strangely addicting. And it makes for great videos if that’s your thing.

And if you wanted to know, yes, some games will be leaving. You can still play these games until they leave the platform at the end of the month:

  • After Party (Console)
  • LEGO Star Wars III (Console)
  • Rise & Shine (Console)
  • Tacoma (Console & PC)
  • The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game (Console & PC)
  • The Red Strings Club (PC)
