It’s that time of the month again. We’re closing in on the month’s end, and it’s time for Microsoft to announced the latest batch of free games for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate members.
If you haven’t heard the news already, Xbox Game Pass got a new tier of service during E3 2019. The new hybrid version of the service rolls together both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for just $15 a month. It’s a great way to get access to more than 200 games on-demand as well as snapping up free games and discounts.
The biggest source of free games on this service is of course the monthly Xbox Free Games with Gold that Microsoft introduced to compete with Sony and their PSN+ offerings. And for July 2019, Microsoft is offering four more titles for gamers to snag a free copy of, one that they will have access to for as long as they have a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription.
Xbox One leads the charge once again with two more free games. The first offering is the spooky and disturbing horror title, Inside. The indie horror title will be up for grabs all month, and is a must-play for anyone who likes a unique take on the horror genre. This is of course joined by Big Crown Showdown. Big Crown Showdown will be available to download from July 16 until August 15.
On Xbox 360, gamers get access to a classic action title that you absolutely should play. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will be available from July 1 to July 15. This is clearly timed with the release of spiritual successor Bloodstained Ritual of the Night which just came out, and fans couldn’t be happier.
A licensed title will follow Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with the introduction of Meet the Robinsons. The game based on the Disney Animation film from 2007, and is clearly a bit of a filler choice. Nonetheless, it’s still cool to get free games.
