World War Z teases new zombie type as post-launch DLC

World War Z Horde Trailer

Saber Interactive, the developer behind the new co-op zombie shooter, World War Z, has revealed a bit about their plans for the post-launch content for the game. The plan is actually surprisingly robust, offering a wide array of different pieces of content, all belonging to different categories. Check out the preview image Saber Interactive released down below which details some of these plans.

Players will be able to take on new missions across various new and old maps, like the first new mission taking players to Tokyo. Along with this new undertaking to purge the undead, players will encounter at least one new zombie type, a member of the undead hordes that can actually self-resurrect and keep on coming.

Starting in June, players will be able to take on more difficult gameplay modes with a new overall difficulty setting. Then there’s a new Weekly Challenges system coming in July. Following that, Saber is also planning to drop extra weapon variants, character skins, and accessories as minor updates. There are also some entirely new weapons in the works too.
