Pokémon Home is quite a useful app for hardcore Trainers. Players who spend a lot of time Shiny hunting might need somewhere to store their egg hoard. There might also be the odd satisfaction found in a complete Pokédex on the app. There’s a lot of reasons to want a bunch of extra storage that works with all of your different games in the franchise. You can even trade monster between versions. This app has a ton of features.
The redos of classic DS games Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is coming up. And fans have one question. Will they be able to use the Home app with these games. Players have been able to use both DS and Switch games with the application, so it seems like it would be a good idea. So with so many versions of the game supported, will new ones be included? Here’s what we know.
Will Pokémon Home Work with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Nintendo has made it clear that the integration with the Home app is a key part of their strategy to keep players engaged. The company has said that both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will have Pokémon Home support. However, the service will not be available upon launch.
Nintendo has also said that the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus will also get support. The date for the launch has not been revealed, so we will just have to wait. We know that the update will land sometime in 2022, we’re just not sure when exactly.
There is more news about the upcoming remake, as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will repeat the process from Shield and Sword as it concerns Dex size. The 900+ Pokémon currently in the National Dex will not be fully featured in the game. This is no doubt going to anger some fans, but it’s OK. It looks like GameFreak will continue to remain content with the corner-cutting.
