Will Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo save files transfer to the full game?

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo available now on Nintendo Switch

With the announcement of the demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity this week, one question burns in the minds of gamers. Sure, getting to smack around various enemies in Hyrule is fun, but players are curious about one thing. That thing is whether or not demo save files will carry over into the main game. This is a pretty persistent issue with video game demos, and even though this version is only Chapter 1 out of 7, there’s still no desire for many to have to retread that progress.

Nintendo has confirmed that any progress that players have made in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demos will carry over into the full game. You don’t have to worry about losing any unlocks or level completions when the final game drops next month. This means that if you have already unlocked Impa and Zelda in the Age of Calamity demo version, you won’t have to do it again later.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity drops for Nintendo Switch on November 20. So if you’re digging into the demo, you have plenty of time to prepare before the full game comes out.
