Given that there are many new Legendary Pokémon in Crown Tundra, there will undoubtedly be Trainers hunting for Shinies and high IV spawns. The new Dynamax Raids systems have plenty of chances to farm them as well. So there’s one thing to keep in mind. However, not all Legendary Pokémon can pop up as Shiny as some are shiny locked, which means they can’t spawn as Shiny.
This is a pretty common thing in other games in the franchise, so let’s run through the list of what monsters can’t be Shiny. 10 legendary Pokémon are shiny locked in the new DLC.

Additionally, the Galarian versions of Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, are also shiny locked in Crown Tundra. So you won’t be able to get around some Gen 1 restrictions this time, The Unova Legendary entries are not Shiny locked apparently, so that’s good.
