Where to Get Mimic Tear Summon in Elden Ring

How to beat Bols Carian Knight in Elden Ring

Elden Ring has some powerful and dangerous bosses. You also need to do a ton of exploration of its open world. The amount of hidden stuff in this game is kind of impressive. Players will not only have to tackle an army of bosses and undead, but there’s many hidden items to find. Players will have to hunt for everything from single-purpose quest items and paintings, to the various hidden NPCs. Elden Ring just loves to throw stuff at the player and tell them to figure it out. You can also collect useful healing items, like Boiled Prawns.

But for this guide, we’re talking about something SoulsBorne fans will know well, Summons. NPC and multiplayer summon signs can be found all over the map. You can interact with these to get help in a tough boss fight. These summons are a part of certain storylines with players in other games, and it seems like there’s some of that here too. There are actually tons of different summons in the game. One of the more interesting ones is actually a clone, called the Mimic Tear Summon in Elden Ring. Here’s what you need to do to get your hands on it.

Where to Get Mimic Tear Summon in Elden Ring

This particular summon does take some work to get. First, you’ll need to defeat Radahn in the bottom right corner of Caelid. Once you’ve taken the boss out, you’re ready to progress.  When you take down this boss, a new event will happen in the Mistwoods involving a meteor. You will see a new path past the Siofra River Well. Once you’re in the new path, head along the straightforward path to the Ancestral Wood Sites of Grace. Take out the mini-boss nearby to get moving. You should be deeper into the Eternal City of Nokron, which is where you need to be.

The boss you’re actually fighting is the Mimic Tear Summon in Elden Ring. When you manage to take it down, you will be able to collect the summon ability by going to the right place. Once the boss is defeated, just move up the staircase ahead and then across the bridge. There’s another Site of Grace here, head past it through an archway. Past that is a doorway blocked by a Stone Imp Statue. You need 1 Stonesword Key to unlock this. The Mimic Tear Ashes for the ability can be found in a chest inside this area past the locked door.

One thing to keep in mind is that this summon uses HP when activated, instead of FP like other summons. The cool thing is that this summon is an AI-controlled clone of your character. It will have the same items and skills equipped that you do when you call it to fight. The summon will also include the ability to heal itself, which is pretty cool. To use the Mimic Tear summon quickly, attach it to one of your quickslots if you plan to use it a lot.

Throughout your adventures in Elden Ring, you’ll stumble upon many hidden items, powerful enemies, and strange objects. Get out there and see what else you can find.

If you’re playing and enjoying the game, good for you! You might have questions though, so we have some guides to help you out. When making a character, picking the right class is important. Figure out how to level up your character once you’re in the game. From there, you might want to learn how to upgrade gear, or maybe how to find powerful weapons, like the Meteorite Staff. Or perhaps you’re a melee player and want that shiny new Rivers of Blood katana to hack away with? There are also tons of crafting jobs to be done, like making multiple types of arrows.
