Where To Find The Giant-Crusher in Elden Ring

Elden Ring: How to Get Tonic of Forgetfulness

There are a great many hidden and unique locations in Elden Ring. As you find hidden dungeons like the Stormfoot Catacombs you’ll unlock many different items and powers. These hidden areas get much more complex as time goes on, so keep an eye out for hidden dungeons. But it’s also the random hidden bosses and lost chests that contain some powerful boons and items. You can find these all over the map, and they’re rather useful, depending on your build.

There are many different possible builds in the game, a nearly limitless amount in fact. You can get tons of unique movesets and other cool stuff from the game, depending on what gear you’re using. Whether you want to be an avenging paladin with holy weapons, or a spellslinging mage, you can do that and so much more. But if you want to be the archetypal tank, you need to worry about Poise. Having a huge weapon also helps a lot here as well. One weapon belonging to this class of colossal weapons is the Giant-Crusher in Elden Ring. Here’s how to get your hands on this chonky hammer.

Where To Find The Giant-Crusher

The Giant-Crusher is located within the outer ward of Leyndell, Royal Capital, specifically south of the Outer Wall Phantom Tree. You must head along the big entry way, and into the walled-off area that leads deeper into the city. There’s a site of grace just to the north, to make it easy to return here if you die. And that might happen. When you head south from the Site of Grace, you will go past a carriage near the edge of the cliff. And that’s when the optional boss will drop in on you.

Giant-Crusher Location In Elden Ring

While obtaining the Giant-Crusher is straightforward, the area around the hammer’s location is filled with danger. The player has to deal with the horrifying spawn of an Ulcerated Tree Spirit that happens when you get close. You can run past the boss and grab the weapon from the back of the cart, but you need to be faster than the incoming attacks.

What’s good about The Giant-Crusher?

It will require quite a lot fo Strength to use this hammer, with 60 required in that stat to even equip it. The STR scaling is pretty poor as well, with C-ranked scaling on the base weapon. The one good thing about the weapon is the combination of the S-tier Physical Attack, with 155 at base. This is one of the highest base Phys weapons in the game.

The other bonus is the Endure skill, which further improves Poise for those big and chonky builds. This skill uses 9 FP per activation

If you’re playing and enjoying the game, good for you! You might have questions though, so we have some guides to help you out. When making a character, picking the right class is important. Figure out how to level up your character once you’re in the game. From there, you might want to learn how to upgrade gear, or maybe how to find powerful weapons, like the Meteorite Staff. Or perhaps you’re a melee player and want that shiny new Rivers of Blood katana to hack away with? If you’re dealing with a lot of Undead, try grabbing the Golden Epitaph. Get the Mimic Tear Summon for a powerful ally. If you’re after better gear, give the Ronin Armor or the Urumi Whip a try.
