Platinum in New World is one of the rarer metals in the game. You will find them as medium and large nodes, and thy take about 25 minutes to respawn. the ability to get good drops from them is pretty dependent on gear. Platinum Veins produce Platinum Ore and require level 110 in the Mining skill to gather, and can be tracked at level 135. They have the potential to produce Tier III & IV Raw Gemstones as well as Sparkmetal. The Sparkmetal drop is based on the mining luck you have for the gathering attempt. Use a Starmetal Miner’s Charm if you want to boost that chance.
Where to find Platinum in New World
Platinum ore veins are distributed across Aeternum’s regions, some containing more platinum than others. The veins can primarily be found in a few key areas. There are also platinum veins in other regions, but these three are the best places to look.
- Reekwater
- Edengrove
- Ebonscale Reach
Each of these regions have a good mix of Platinum in New World, found in veins like all other ores. Having a good grasp of where the spawns requires knowing where to look. We have included some maps below which lay out potential spawn locations for each node in the three regions listed above.

Reekwater Platinum Spawns in New World
Several clusters of platinum veins can be found along the mountainous western border of Reekwater. Check around Skyview Repose and south of Mosswater Bourg for some good spots. These areas have level 40-60 enemies in them, so come prepared. If you start by Skyview Repose, follow the ridge south and then cut across the main road to find more further south.

Edengrove Platinum Spawns in New World
You can farm a lot of Platinum Ore here as well. Look around the rocky outcroppings near the big bodies of water to spot the veins. These are pretty common in Creeping Reach and a few other areas. Expect high-level enemies in the 50s here. Start at Valor Hold and then run along the western edge of the water to run a quick route.

Ebonscale Reach Platinum Spawns in New World
The final region to look in is Ebonscale Reach, with two major collections of Platinum to be found. Right outside the main town there are a bunch of different metals tucked into the rocky hills. The close proximity to the town makes this a quick route to run as well.
