Once you are done with part of the beginning of the game and know how to give gifts in DBZ Kakarot, you are free to find and give away gifts as you please. Gifts are pretty common throughout the game, but giving gifts to the right people is quite important for ensuring your community flourishes as early as possible in the game.
Once the Soul Emblems are unlocked, you will be able to give gifts to characters to improve their community skills and stats, these are effective especially on community leaders. However, a lot of gifts are needed to maximize the community skills available.
Working Through The Story
This is pretty obvious, but this one works. Most of the story missions will offer huge XP bonuses and also gift items occasionally. This is not the best source of farming as each mission can only be completed one time at first but once you reach further in the campaign, then higher ranked gift items become available with the other methods.
Complete Substories
The substories in the game are pretty quick, easy and often offer great insight into the world. All the sub-stories belong to any one of the categories of Communities and those particular sub-stories provide gifts for those specific categories. It is pretty tough to go for a single category as the sub-stories are all spread out but to advance your communities quickly, this is one of the best methods of finding gifts.
Search The World
You can find a lot of items scattered throughout the game world. Pay attention to purple orbs and other rare items, by using your Kai Sense (L1/LB) you can track them down. This is not a fast method but if you’re passing one on the way to an objective, it would just take a few seconds to pick it up.
Take Down Enemy Bases
The best method that we have found for getting gifts so far is by destroying enemy bases. These will come in various forms throughout the game. Red Ribbon Towers will begin to appear, during the Saiyan Saga. Later, after Frieza Saga has been completed, Frieza’s spaceships will begin to appear on Earth. These can be found in the map, with distinct icons, and can be tracked down easily. You need to use your Ki Blasts to destroy them, which will sometimes give you ingredients and other useful items, but more often you will find a lot of gift items. They will respawn again after a short time so it’s pretty easy to get a decent number of gifts in this way.
