With the launch of Fortnite Season 3, a ton of new content was added to the game. And now that fans are digging into the new content, some very interesting things have been found. One of the new items added in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is a bunch of Fireflies and Firefly Jars. These two items both give off a warm glow, but they have a practical use.
Fireflies can randomly spawn near trees and campfires, you just have to run up them and you will create a Firefly Jar and this is what you really want. The Firefly Jars in Fortnite can be tossed at players, vehicles and structures to deal a decent chunk of damage. They will do 40 damage on hit, and will do a small amount of tick damage with the resulting flames.
The structures that Firefly Jars in Fortnite are tossed at take some damage and catch fire. This makes them a great way to more subtly attack the base of builds around the map. Since the fire can spread between different build panels as well, it’s a very good weapon for taking out traps and the like. It also makes this a great choice for stripping away cover from other players.
You can carry up to the three Firefly Jars at a time, and you must use those before you can harvest more to turn into jars.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 added bunch of other new content as well. There’s the new Helicopter spawns to hunt down.
