Another new holiday event is running amok in Fallout 76. The newest one has allowed the Festive Scorched to overrun Appalachia in Fallout 76. These nasty buggers are nesting all over the place, and it’s your job to take them out. These mutants are all over the place, and you need to hunt them down. Taking them out can drop some rare loot, including holiday gifts.
Where to find Festive Scorched in Fallout 76
Festive Scorched will spawn anywhere that regular Scorched enemies appear in-game. So they tend to spawn in many different zones. The scorched variants for the event will be of the same kind, so you will find the Suicider, Commander and other variants in possible holiday gear. The Festive Scorched in Fallout 76 always have red and white garb on, so they’re pretty easy to spot. The best way to defeat Holiday Scorched is to bring a lot of other players along. These variants are much tougher, and you will need lots of Explosives and heavy weapons to bring them down.

Players may also be able to find Vendor bots selling Gift Wrap and other items. These can be used to make your own Holiday Gifts as well.
What’s in the Holiday Gifts?
The small holiday gift, holiday gift, and large holiday gift are consumables in Fallout 76. They were first introduced in the Nuclear Winter update, and their functionality changed in the Steel Dawn update. Each box has a chance to contain a random assortment of items. The items will mostly be relegated to the Holiday Scorched rewards.
- Holiday Junk – Coal, Toys, sports gear and more. Use for crafting materials.
- Goodies – Food items and medical items from a random selection. Includes alcohol, grenades, Stimpaks and more.
- Holiday Rewards – Special cosmetics such as the Communist Commander gear, icicle lights, sleeping bags and more.
- Caps and Legendary Scrips
- Ammo for your current weapon
