Evo Shields are the newest gameplay element introduced as a part of the new System Override Collection Event is now live in Apex Legends. The event also includes a new Heirloom set to unlock, this time for heroic boy Octane. The biggest gameplay change aside from new items is the new Deja Loot game mode. Loot spawns have been amped up within this event to be permanent on the map, offering much more competition for loot drops within each match.
The Evo Shields can be found within the entire loot table, so they spawn like any other item. An Evo Shield in Apex Legends offers a bit of deception when you first pick it up, having only one shield bar instead of two. Although, if you deal enough damage to an enemy, you’ll gain another shield bar. The amount of damage needed to unlock this next shield level is unclear, so just shoot enemies and you’ll notice the change eventually.
Luckily, one Reddit user by the name of Dndo has mapped out locations that will always have an Evo Shield. Each red dot on the image below denotes a loot spawn that includes the Shield. It’s entirely up to you where you want to drop in. The zone near the Skyhook has some other loot along with the Evo Shield, making it very much a good place to start.
Keep in mind that the spawns don’t change in the new Deja Loot mode, but they may well be altered within the other game modes. But if you’re quick on your feet and know where to go, you can get the Evo Shield in Apex Legends every time you land in a match.
