As initially revealed by the Week 4 challenges, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has unvaulted the iconic Jetpack from the ether. Players had missed the levitation item for many months now, and it’s finally back. It’s a great way to move around the map and avoid fire, but it can be kind of hard to find. In previous iterations, you could loot it from certain NPCs and other sources, that’s changed. The biggest change here is that the Jetpack is no longer a standard loot item.
It isn’t clear how long these Jetpacks may stay in the season, so get them while you can. The return was first teased in patch notes and leaks, and Epic could remove it at any time. Here’s where to go to get a Jetpack in Fortnite Chapter 3.
Where to find a Jetpack in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
You can get one of these from a certain location. Like in previous seasons, you just need to know where to look. In this season, instead of dropping from an NPC or loot chest, you need to hit up the giant floating blimps all over the island. The giant blimps float over the map above certain POIs. They’re spread pretty evenly all over the map, so they shouldn’t be hard to find. Once you find a Blimp, just head inside a grab a Jetpack to get flying.
Here are all the Blimp locations in Fortnite:
- Tilted Towers
- Coney Crossroads
- Condo Canyon
- Command Cavern
- The Daily Bugle
- Rocky Reels
